Exeter Mosque and Synagogue Visit

Our Year 5 pupils took part in an exciting and educational trip to both Exeter Mosque and Exeter Synagogue as part of their Religious Education studies. The visits gave the children a valuable opportunity to learn more about two different world religions — Islam and Judaism — and explore the features of each place of worship.
At Exeter Mosque, the pupils were warmly welcomed by members of the Muslim community, who gave a guided tour and explained the importance of prayer, the Qur'an, and daily practices in Islam. Later, at Exeter Synagogue, the children learnt about the Jewish faith, including the Torah, the significance of the Sabbath, and how Jewish people celebrate key festivals and traditions.
The trip helped bring their classroom learning to life and encouraged thoughtful discussion and respectful curiosity. A big well done to Year 5 for representing our school so brilliantly with their excellent behaviour, interest, and enthusiasm throughout the day!
