This week, Year 4 travelled back in time to the 17th century as they brought history to life by re-enacting the Battle of Torrington. With great enthusiasm and creativity, the children designed and made their own costumes and weaponry, immersing themselves in the experience of the English Civil War. From hand-crafted helmets to cardboard shields and pikes, their efforts were truly impressive. The battle scene was full of energy, teamwork, and historical drama — a fantastic way to deepen their understanding of this important event in local history. Well done, Year 4!
