We came up with the idea of something a little bit different for World Book Day this year, the BLUECOAT BIG BOOK SWAP! We asked children to bring in a book from home that is suitable for others of the same age and that they no longer read. Wrap it and write on it a little description to appeal to the next reader.  The idea was that EVERY child goes home with a ‘new to them’ book.  The children were delighted with their new books.

The title of "A school of intrigued readers are eagerly unwrapping their swapped books" is the first line of the poem created by class 5MR.
