Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been fantastic to see our OPAL provision continue to grow, with children fully engaged in creating, building, imagining and playing together.
If you have any scaffolding planks, wooden pallets, toy cars, dolls or other suitable loose parts that you could donate, we would be incredibly grateful. These resources provide so many opportunities for creative play.
With Harvest on our minds, we are supporting the North Devon Foodbank. Our value of Serving Others reminds us how important it is to look beyond ourselves and support our local community.
Our Pupil and Parent Support Worker, Claire Gregory, works closely with the Foodbank and has recently received donations from the North Devon Hygiene Service to help provide essential products for families.
We are always mindful that accessing support can feel difficult, and we treat this with discretion, dignity and respect. If your family needs a little support, please do reach out to Claire, we are here to help.
If you are able to donate any non-perishable food items, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps us support families within our local community.
Our Knowledge Organisers and Curriculum Newsletters have been sent home and are also available on our website. They are a great way to see what your children are learning and to start conversations about their learning at home.
A reminder that we follow strict Local Authority guidance around holidays during term time. Regular attendance really matters because missed learning quickly adds up. Missing just one day every two weeks could mean around 19 days of learning missed over a year.
Please also make sure children arrive on time. Being late can cause anxiety, mean children miss important learning and make it harder to settle into the day. We want every child to start their day feeling calm, confident and ready to learn.
